The Phoenix Suns need more from Mikal Bridges to cover for Devin Booker
Having played big for the Suns this year during sets both with and without Booker on the floor, it makes sense for Mikal Bridges‘s workload to increase during this shorthanded stretch.
My words on Bridges and his potential emergence as Phoenix’s third star are now amplified. His growing skills which often function as a secondary asset when the Suns are whole now look certain to become relied upon as a short-term focal point.
Lineups featuring Bridges (minus Booker) own a +17.4 in point differential and rank amongst the league’s best in efficiency at both ends of the floor. Bridges certainly carries the skills to lead the Suns aptly, but just needs to attack more aggressively.
For the season, he averages just 9.4 field goal attempts per game. Without Booker, that number needs to inflate.
