Phoenix Suns Potential Trade: Jalen Smith to Denver Nuggets for Bol Bol and Vlatko Cancar

Last week, Bol Bol liked a tweet calling for the Denver Nuggets to trade him. Even though he started out his NBA career as a highly intriguing player due to his size and shooting touch, the Nuggets seem hell-bent on keeping him benched.

With Bol being another potentially talented center subjected to a frustrating situation, a simple swap involving him and Smith feels worth considering, as new scenery might solve things for all parties.

Only playing 41 games between three years, Bol only averages 2.8 points per game as a pro. But regardless, his unique skillset still makes him worth inquiring about. Running the floor well, shooting, passing, and finishing, Bol often puts together one or two highlight-reel plays during “garbage time” runs for the Nuggets each night.

Under a top tier basketball mind and leader like Monty Williams, Bol might reach the potential he flashed as an absolute stud at Oregon, or at least round himself out enough to contribute on a nightly basis. That still leaves the Suns better off than before, with Smith likely handcuffed to the bench all year for them.

To complete this deal Vlatko Cancar comes over as well to balance things out financially, but the Suns can cut him shortly after.
