Phoenix Suns Power Forwards

With Phoenix’s multiple small forwards and centers, several other players might field minutes at power forward. This helps keep the Suns a versatile unit, which remains incredibly important in the now “positionless” NBA.

Rotation:

  1. Jae Crowder
  2. Frank Kaminsky

Crowder’s strength and mobility make up for his lacking size at the four. Also as a tough competitor and seasoned veteran, he makes Phoenix’s defense substantially better. Being a volume shooter, he likely delivers with roughly 10.0 points per game this year, but owns the potential to inflict even more damage if he stays accurate from deep.

An absolutely liability on defense, but an easily pluggable offensive option at the same time, Kaminsky re-signed with the Suns this summer as a nice filler piece. He stretches the floor with a decent jump shot, and strikes a solid locker room guy. Watch out for his sneaky passing abilities too, as he averaged a career high 5.5 assists per 100 possessions last season.
