At the end of the day, putting the ball through the hoop is what matters most. Last season, the Phoenix Suns came equipped with several players talented at doing so, finishing out the regular season with five guys averaging double figures.

That allowed the team to finish with the seventh most points per game across the NBA, a noteworthy feat for any group to feel proud about. However, what really separated Phoenix from the pack was the manner in which they racked up all those scoring numbers.

Collectively shooting at 49.0 percent from the field, the Suns put up the league’s second highest field goal percentage, trailing the renowned Brooklyn Nets by only 0.4 percentage points. The Suns also kept things clean during their trips to the charity stripe, again hitting at the second highest rate across the entire league at 83.4 percent.

Needless to say, the Suns wrote the book on offense last year. But even with the 2020-21 season now fully behind us, expect Phoenix to pick up right where they left off when the new one opens up a few weeks from now.

For the 2021-22 campaign, the Suns returned their entire starting five from the year prior. Additionally, they added a few new pieces that combined for 37.5 points per game last season, while waving goodbye to a group that only accounted for 19.9 points per game.

Locked and loaded, Phoenix plans to abuse all who oppose them with the ball in hand. But to call out which specific players threaten give their opponents the most trouble, offensive rankings for the entire team go as follows.
