Phoenix Suns Media Day Takeaways: Finding Out Who’s Vaccinated

By no means does everyone need to share their vaccination status with the public. No matter your stance on the vaccine, players are undoubtedly entitled to keep their personal health information private.

However, some Suns players openly decided to share their vaccination status with the public today. Those individuals who mentioned that they indeed got the vaccine include:

  • Deandre Ayton
  • Jae Crowder
  • Mikal Bridges
  • Cameron Payne
  • Jae Crowder
  • Elfrid Payton
  • Landry Shamet
  • Frank Kaminsky
  • Dario Saric
  • Cameron Johnson
  • JaVale McGee
  • Jalen Smith
  • Chasson Randle
  • Chandler Hutchinson

Although Chris Paul neglected to say for sure, he certainly implied that he also got the vaccine. When asked about it, Paul noted that his very presence at media should tell reporters all they need to know.

But regardless, Phoenix’s 15 confirmed vaccinated players sets them up well should they ever fall into limbo with the league’s health and safety protocols. It simply removes a few hurdles potentially lurking in the future, and puts the team at an advantage over other groups dealing with key players strongly opposed to the vaccine, such as Andrew Wiggins of the Golden State Warriors.
