Phoenix Suns Most Underrated Players: Cameron Johnson
Perhaps Cameron Johnson‘s incredibly common first and last names are what make him such a less-talked about player at the NBA level. It certainly cannot be his production, which absolutely stands out especially for a reserve player with only two seasons under his belt.
Last year, he averaged 9.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. He turned up his efficiency during the playoffs though, most notably from 3-point territory—where he shot a clean 44.6 percent with 3.5 attempts per contest.
Regardless, the only love Johnson seemed to attain from a wider NBA audience came after his ferocious slam dunk over P.J. Tucker during the NBA Finals. But with his show stopping athleticism, Suns fans know that Johnson comes through with plays such as these on a night in, night out basis.

Johnson makes his presence known at the defensive end as well. Always on the hunt for steals, he frequently sparked fast breaks for the Suns last year during both the playoffs and regular season. Every team wants a guy like Johnson, even if they neglect to show it that often.
