Phoenix Suns All-Stars in 2021-22: Devin Booker

Let’s start with the far and away most obvious All-Star pick from Phoenix’s roster: Devin Booker.

Last season, Booker secured his second consecutive All-Star selection. However, he only earned the honor because Anthony Davis relinquished his spot to instead work on recovering from an injury. If Davis stayed healthy, Booker would have been snubbed even with his 26/4/4 averages while playing as one of the two most important pieces, if not the most important piece on a 50+ win team.

But for this coming season, Booker possesses a high probability to earn a third-straight All-Star bid even if most players like Davis manage to stay healthy. This holds true not only due to his growing popularity, but also because his prime years likely start with this coming season, which might even nudge him into the MVP argument if the chips fall the right way.

Everyone knows Booker as Phoenix’s core superstar, and everyone expects him to finish his now seventh NBA season at the top, or near the top of the scoring leaderboard.

If the Suns produce over 50 wins while Booker leads the team’s scoring department, that all looks too convincing to not grant him a trip to Cleveland.
