Phoenix Suns Offseason Target: Reggie Bullock
You might not remember, but Reggie Bullock played with Paul several years ago, also with the Los Angeles Clippers. LA drafted Bullock during the 2013 NBA Draft’s first round, allowing him to join CP3 amidst his third year with the Clippers.
Bullock struggled significantly as a Clipper, but his most recent campaign with the New York Knicks allowed him to elevate his value as a pro, emerging as a top tier 3-point shooter. Last year, he shot 41.0 percent from outside, a top-50 mark by all NBA players. He also made 163 total shots from three, coming as a top-30 mark.
As an integral piece in bringing the Knicks back to relevancy last year, Bullock averaged 10.9 points and a career-high 3.4 rebounds per game. He also contributed to New York’s astute defense, posting the fourth highest rating on the team at 107.2.
Thankfully still a borderline starter though, Bullock’s price tag should not weigh him down if the Suns try and sign him. This inexpensiveness, paired with his young age, and skillset make him the perfect guy to draw up a deal with this summer.
Also if Phoenix lets back up point guard Cameron Payne walk, Bullock will not just be a useful addition for the Suns next year, but a necessary one. Bullock also played one season for the Suns before going traded to the Pistons in 2015, so he brings some familiarity with the organization to the table as well.
