Phoenix Suns Key to Victory in Game 6: Play “team” basketball

Remember the swift, ball-moving team we fell in love with earlier this year? Well, we have not seen it since Game 2, especially during each contest’s second half.

While Devin Booker has put up back-to-back fantastic 40-point games, they have been the result of an isolation-based offensive attack. The Suns cannot afford to do this any longer, and must play as a team instead.

When it comes to the best player in the series, that is undoubtedly Giannis Antetokounmpo. Booker, on the other hand, is not a top ten player in the league.

My point is, Booker cannot beat the Bucks without his team. Milking him dry will not solve anything, and the Bucks can just zone in against him on defense, and wait for him to hit a dry spell. This makes Mike Budenholzer’s job way too easy regarding his team’s defensive game planning.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Suns are the better all-around team here. However, they need to use it to their advantage. Move the ball, put stress on the defense, and the ball will flood into the basket.
