The Phoenix Suns found a glimmer of hope before Thursday’s Game 3 in Los Angeles.

Coach Monty Williams said beleaguered star guard Chris Paul was better and a full-go for Phoenix’s matchup with the Lakers.

Didn’t play out that way.

The Phoenix Suns are beyond frustrated with this Lakers series — enough to make you want to throw Dennis Schroder through the air — and the solutions aren’t terribly clear.

Phoenix fans may not support Devin Booker’s cheap-shot foul, but they certainly understand it.

(Booker said only: “We were losing the game. We want to win.”)

It’s bad enough for the Suns to watch two of the more talented players in the NBA, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, draw criticism for disrespecting the game by picking their spots to turn up the effort.

But to try to thwart the Big Two with one arm tied behind their back only magnifies the disgust.
