Phoenix Suns: midseason grades ranking

Phoenix Suns power forward Jae Crowder midseason grade: B
A journeyman in the NBA Jae Crowder is now on his seventh team in the NBA but still finds excitement in a new team. Especially in a team coming off the hottest run in the NBA bubble.
Before the bubble, Phoenix was not a top destination for free agents. It’s what Booker did in the bubble that changed that perception.
After reaching the finals with the Miami Heat, Crowder generated interest in the free agency market before choosing the Phoenix Suns. He chose the Suns over other teams offering more money because he saw the project the Suns wanted to build and wanted to be a part of it.
A quality 3-point shooter, Crowder brings in more experience and defensive effort. His presence as a catch-and-shoot player helps give Phoenix more depth in its team. Additionally, Crowder is a solid 3-and-D player that contributes to the Suns being a top defensive team and top 3-point shooting team.
His big frame helps on the defensive end, allowing him to match up with the other team’s bigs each night.
Crowder fills his role as a knockdown shooting and capable defender excellently and does exactly what Phoenix needs him to. After signing a three-year deal Crowder is looking to make Phoenix his new home for his signature catch-and-shoot three-ball.
