Phoenix Suns lineup and depth chart: Power Forwards

  1. Cameron Johnson
  2. Dario Saric
  3. Jae Crowder
  4.  Jalen Smith

Monty Williams found that Cameron Johnson played better starting than coming off the bench in early March and made the switch in place of Dario Saric. Cam will continue to start this season and he will get additional minutes at the small forward at times. The lightbulb literally went off for Cam during the last 5 games in the bubble where he did everything well from blocking shots to steals and rebounding while averaging over 30 minutes per game.

Dario Saric was the most important player for the Phoenix Suns to sign (keep) in free agency. During the last 12 games starting in early March Saric began to lose weight and get into phenomenal shape as he entered the Bubble as the same “Super Dario” as he was during his second season in Philadelphia. In the Bubble games, Saric scored 18.8 points, grabbed 6.8 rebounds, and shot with video game accuracy while hitting 64.7 percent from 3-point range. Without Super Dario Saric, the Suns do not go unbeaten in the bubble.

Even though this won’t be a redshirt year for Jalen Smith, they will bring him along slowly as his time will come.
