These are some frontcourt options for the Phoenix Suns to consider in free agency

In a previous article, I pointed out some wing candidates that the Phoenix Suns should sign as backups. Combo guard Alec Burks and small forward Justin Holiday were my top two choices as they are perfect complementary players that will make this Suns team even better than last season.

Today I’ll look at some frontcourt players that the Suns to target in free agency.

In regards to free agency, the salary cap is expected to remain level at $109 million according to Shams Charania (subscription required).

The cap over the next few years could very well remain level given the state of the economy at-large and the league’s revenue shortages due to no fans at games for the close of 2019-20 and potentially the start of 2021.

If the cap does remain the same as last season as is reported the Phoenix Suns will walk into free agency with about $15.4 million available to them. Other trades and cap renouncements could free up some extra cap as well.

Additionally, the Phoenix Suns also have the mid-level exception available to them to use which last year was valued at $9.258 million.
