Former Phoenix Suns players in the Finals: Jared Dudley, Los Angeles Lakers

I will admit. I was initially in favor of an NCAA-style tournament to crown an NBA champion. I thought with an unprecedented problem, the NBA should have come up with an unprecedented solution.

Jared Dudley convinced me otherwise. He convinced me if the Lakers were to lose, they must lose in a best-of-seven series.

He is right. Otherwise, we might be seeing Portland or Houston on Wednesday. He won’t play very much in this series. Peak Dudley was on the Phoenix Suns, where he was knocking down around 40 percent of his 3-pointers coming off the bench.

Now, as he was in Phoenix, he is an integral “glue guy” on the Lakers. He just is not in the Lakers rotation. Special shoutout to Jared Dudley for making his first finals appearance!
