Phoenix Suns: Free-agent options to scout in Western Conference playoffs

The Phoenix Suns are not in the post-season, but that doesn’t mean fans can’t watch the playoffs without scouting free-agents that could be good Suns fits.

The Phoenix Suns will almost certainly add a free agent or four this offseason. The real question is what type of player(s) will the Suns target and who is available. There is still murkiness surrounding what the cap will look like next year, specifically if it will be reduced due to revenue lost from the hiatus, but if it stays roughly the same, the Suns could have around $20 million to play with depending on who they re-sign from their own options of free agents.

The Suns were a Chris LeVert shot away from not having to worry about free-agency for a while, but as it is, an 8-0 record wasn’t good enough to break the team’s decade-long playoff drought. That doesn’t mean Suns fans have to turn off the TV for the rest of the season, though. There are plenty of soon-to-be free agents to scout in the playoffs.

It is easy to gravitate toward the big-name free agents, but in this class, there are not many of them. But sort of like the draft, a lack of star power doesn’t mean there aren’t some good quality guys available.
