DJ Augustine could be the backup PG for the Phoenix Suns

Backup point guard! Backup point guard! Backup point guard! That has been the theme of the Suns’ player searches for seemingly the last eon. To keep with that motif, what about a guy like DJ Augustine?

The Suns could do a lot worse.

Augustine is getting up there in age (he’s 32), but he is still putting up solid numbers for a meh Magic team. Most games you can go ahead and pencil him in for 10 points and five assists, but he has been putting up some 20-point showings as of late.

He could be a good guy to watch and see how well he plays against the Bucks to see if he might be worth a veteran minimum signing next season for the Suns.
