2. Mikal Bridges (2018)

I am confident Mikal Bridges will rank first on this list one day, but it is hard to put him there now considering he has only played two seasons in the NBA.

After a bit of a slow start to the season, Bridges turned it on, especially in the bubble, and has essentially made it impossible for Monty Williams not to start him.

Bridges finished this season averaging 9.1 points and 1.4 steals per game this season while almost always having to guard the opposing team’s best player.

Bright things are ahead for Bridges as he will undoubtedly continue to improve. It really looks like he loves this team and the community it fosters, considering a recent tweet he sent out that simply said, “I don’t ever wanna leave.”

Note its uncanny (and dare I say purposeful?) parallel to the infamous Bledsoe tweet, “I don’t wanna be here.”
