#4: Atlanta Hawks: Anthony Edwards | Shooting Guard | Georgia

Anthony Edwards is a volume bucket-getter. Whether you place emphasis on volume or bucket-getter in that sentence will depend on how high you value his game.

Despite a lack of efficiency (he only shot 40.2 percent from the field including 29.2 percent from 3), Edwards still put up 19.1 points per game. If you’re willing to think time and maturity will better those percentages, then Edwards could be a star, but teams may have to suffer through several 4-17 nights (Edwards averaged more than 17 shots per game at Georgia) in order to get there.

However, it is certainly possible he gets there. He already has an NBA-ready body at 6’5″, 225 lbs., and as one of the youngest players in this draft class, that is impressive.

Edwards grew up in Georgia, went to college in Georgia, and is probably quarantining in Georgia now, so if he were to fall to the Atlanta Hawks, he may be required to supply a large chunk of tickets (if and when fans are actually allowed back in the stadium).

But paired next to Trae Young, he could make for one of the higher-scoring backcourt duos in the league. No one else on the team may get to shoot, but still, those two could put up some impressive numbers together.
