#6: New York Knicks: Tyrese Haliburton | Point Guard | Iowa State
For my money, Tyrese Haliburton is the most NBA-ready point guard in this year’s draft class. He is 6’5″ and possesses a masterful vision of the court, averaging 6.5 assists per game for the Cyclones.
When it comes to scoring, he loves him the 3-ball. 67 percent of his total shots came from behind the arc, but that’s not a bad thing considering he made 41.9 percent of those attempts. He has a goofy-looking push shot, but it goes in.
Haliburton isn’t just a shooter, though. He can score inside and has the hops to throw down some nasty dunks on a fast break.
He is also a hawk on defense, as he racked up 2.5 steals per game in college this season.
There is a new sheriff in town in New York and the Knicks will be in rebuild mode. Having a solid, NBA ready, point guard could be a key piece to a rebuild.
