#16: Minnesota Timberwolves: Precious Achiuwa | Power Forward | Memphis

With Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell heading up the Timberwolves, they are in desperate need of a defensive-minded player, and Precious Achiuwa is exactly that.

Achiuwa is a power forward from days past, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t value there. He could roll out of bed and put up a double-double, as he averaged 15.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game with Memphis, including a monstrous 22-point, 22-rebound performance against Tulane.

On defense, Achiuwa is a beast down low, averaging 1.9 blocks her game, a stat that is no doubt helped by his 7’2″ wingspan.

He isn’t going to impress you with a finesse jumper, even though he did launch the occasional 3-pointer for the Tigers. He is will make his money in the NBA down in the paint, and would provide the physical presence the Timberwolves need.
