#20: Brooklyn Nets: Jalen Smith | Power Forward | Maryland
Jalen Smith checks a lot of boxes. He has good size at 6’10”, 225 lbs., features above-average athleticism and is on point with his fundamentals. However, his biggest strength is the fact that he wears rec specs.
Kidding, it is his rebounding.
Smith hits the boards like very few others in the college game, especially on the offensive glass. He averaged 10.5 boards per contest this season including a 19-rebound performance against Northwestern.
When it comes to scoring, he isn’t going to blow you away with a lot of vicious, highlight real dunks, but he finishes underneath efficiently and is capable of knocking down the outside shot, as he posted a 36.8 percent accuracy mark from 3.
He isn’t as good right now as Jarrett Allen, but he is cut from the same cloth. The Nets could slot him in there as his backup right away and not experience too much of a dip.
