#21: Denver Nuggets: Tyler Bey | Small Forward | Colorado

Tyler Bey is a 6’7″ small forward who does most of his damage in the paint. He is an elite athlete whose first instinct is to dunk in his opponent’s face at all times. His aggressiveness down low translates to the boards as well, as he racked up 11.2 rebounds per game at Colorado this season.

He is the type of player that doesn’t need plays run for him in order to score. Whether it is put-backs, offensive rebounds, or backdoor alley-oops, Bey gets his numbers based on his hustle and athleticism.

Coincidentally, that is the same way he gets his steals and blocks too. He rejected 1.2 shots and had 1.5 steals for the Buffalo this season.

Even though he is not a willing shooter, he’s not bad at it. While he only hoisted one per game, Bey shot 40 percent from behind the arc.

The knock on him is his old age, but he’s only 22, not 42, so I don’t consider that a reason for a team like the Nuggets to skip over him.  Bey would provide a burst of athleticism and fire off the bench for Denver with room to grow down the line.
