The Phoenix Suns went a perfect 8-0 in the bubble, and now are being honored with a few individual awards by the NBA.

The NBA announced the Kia Players of the Seeding Games and a couple of members of the Phoenix Suns were recognized for their accomplishments.

Finally.

Devin Booker was named to the NBA All-Seeding Games First Team and Monty Williams was named Coach of the Seeding Games.

While I made a push for Devin Booker to be named Bubble MVP after seven games and was prepared to squabble online about it, after watching Damian Lillard’s performance against the Nets, even the most ardent Suns fan would have a hard time making a good-faith argument to put Book ahead of him.

The Phoenix Suns are both winning and receiving individual awards.

The same goes for the most fierce Phoenix Suns hater considering anyone other than Monty Williams as Coach of the Bubble. A perfect 8-0 record is hard to beat, especially when you take into account some folks projected they would go 0-8.

Of the honors, Monty Williams said, “It’s a huge blessing. I’m just thankful for what our guys accomplished in Orlando.”

Good things come to those who win and the Phoenix Suns are getting the recognition they deserve. If Booker had put up those exact same numbers and the Suns had gone something like 2-6, you can bet his name would not be found on this list.

Joining Booker on the first team are some of the biggest stars in the NBA and also TJ Warren. Here is the complete list of honorees:

Kia NBA Player of the Seeding Games

Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers

Kia NBA All-Seeding Games First Team

Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns
Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks
Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers
James Harden, Houston Rockets
T.J. Warren, Indiana Pacers

Kia NBA All-Seeding Games Second Team

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
Kawhi Leonard, LA Clippers
Kristaps Porzingis, Dallas Mavericks
Caris LeVert, Brooklyn Nets
Michael Porter Jr., Denver Nuggets

Coach of the Seeding Games

Monty Williams, Phoenix Suns

If the Phoenix Suns keep this momentum going into next season, expect this not to be the last time Booker, Williams, and others are found on award lists.
