The Phoenix Suns beat the Philadelphia 76ers to stay the only undefeated team in the bubble, extending their win streak to 7-0.
After another sluggish start, the Phoenix Suns turned it on in the second quarter and in the second half, did what they could to keep the 76ers at arm’s length to get across the finish line.
It marked the Suns’ 7th win in a row, a streak they haven’t matched in 10 years. Here are the seven best things from the victory, in no particular order:
7. Devin “Gimme that Bubble MVP” Booker
No one in Phoenix Suns history has scored more 30-point games than Devin Booker. He is 23 years old. The Suns needed every one of his 35 points on Tuesday afternoon to beat the Philadelphia 76ers (minus one or two of their best players). But who cares? A win is a win.
The 76ers did not make it easy, though. Devin Booker passed on his usual rest and played all of the fourth quarter. Oh, and he did this:
It was announced today that the NBA will be giving out awards for an All-Bubble team and Bubble MVP. If there was any doubt Booker was the clear option, he ended that when he finished off this double team by dunking on their heads.
He messed around and almost had a triple-double, as he finished with nine rebounds and seven assists as well. Devin Booker has been waiting to play in games like this.
We can tell.
