Players of the Game

Player of the Game: Mikal Bridges
14 points (6-9)
5 rebounds
1 assist
1 steal

The most improved player coming back from four months off was no question, Mikal Bridges. The things the team asked him to do, he did. Taking almost every shot near the rim and throwing up only a couple shots from three, his improved basketball IQ showed. His length and patience will only improve his offensive game and take him to the next level.

Honorable Mentions:

Devin Booker
13 points
3 assists

Booker disappeared in the second half after an easy money first half, when things looked to be shaping into a game the turnovers and complaining began.

Dario Saric
12 points
6 rebounds

Saric looked like he ended the game with 24 points and 12 rebounds by fighting for every point and every board. Dario showed confidence in his game and finished around the rim!

Cameron Payne
11 points
5 rebounds
2 assists

Payne showed right away that he belonged on the team. He did not look lost and might take that backup point guard spot.

I am grinning from ear to ear after this scrimmage game. Free-throws and 3-point shooting still need to improve but continue to take that ball to the hole! There was a lot of talk and a lot to prove, but the Suns showed we should really stick around and watch.

Next. Aron Baynes is still recovering from COVID-19. dark
