Phoenix Suns vs. Indiana Pacers | 8-6-2020

Halfway through the schedule, we will see the Valley Boyz face off against the Indiana Pacers. Indiana is currently the 5th seed in the East and not a team to be taken lightly. It has been announced Victor Oladipo, just like Beal, will not join his team in Orlando, which is great news for the Suns.

Despite missing Oladipo, the Pacers are still a very good team, they’ve been a top team in the Eastern Conference without Oladipo virtually all season.

Another tough matchup for Deandre Ayton will be the incredibly talented first-time All-Star Domants Sabonis. A big man who has the skills of a guard is never easy to defend. He is almost like playing a less-dominant younger version of Nikola Jokic.

This will also be another big game for Mikal Bridges defense. He has a chance to shut down an 18 point per game scorer in former Sun, TJ Warren. Warren hopes to duplicate his dominant, 25-point performance he had against his former team en route to a blowout win, so Bridges needs to be louder and show TJ and the Suns’ front office they chose the right small forward.

This Suns team is almost 100 percent healthy (minus Oubre) and had great chemistry since Ayton’s return, they should be able to take advantage of a team without their 2-way superstar and leader.
