Phoenix Suns vs. Indiana Pacers | August 6, 1:00 p.m. PST
The Indiana Fighting TJ Warrens dominated the Suns when they visited the Stick earlier this year. Warren had 25 points in the Pacers’ 25-point win prompting the official Indiana Pacers Twitter account to own the Suns by showing Warren’s stats for the game next to “Cash Considerations” stats, which was just a bunch of zeroes.
Well played, social media czar. Well played.
Hopefully, for the Suns, they can chalk that up to a revenge game and this matchup will be played much more competitively.
Phoenix Suns vs. Miami Heat | August 8, 4:30 p.m. PST
Remember back when the Heat and the Suns were the early season darlings of the NBA? Both teams were far exceeding expectations, full of young talent, and were fun to watch.
Well, after the Heat beat the Suns early on in a game where Aron Baynes led the team in scoring, they continued to be surprisingly good while the Suns fell back to Earth. The Heat since made a few acquisitions at the trade deadline including Andre Iguodala, and are my underdog pick to go far in the playoffs.
The Suns will have a tough matchup here.
