Davis Bertans

Davis Bertans doesn’t have the NBA household name Gallinari and Ibaka do, but he had a breakout years this season and would be a perfect insertion into the starting power forward spot.

Bertans is averaging 15.4 points per game in this, his first season with the Washington Wizards on 42.4 percent shooting from 3. The Wizards aren’t likely to make the playoffs, but that won’t stop Bertans from showing off his skills to potential future teams. With no John Wall, the Wizards will have to find someone besides Bradley Beal to score and that someone could be Davis Bertans.

And while he can shoot lights out, I’ll be most interested to see if he can show off his skills underneath the goal. He’s only averaging 4.5 rebounds per game and that needs to increase if he is going to be worthy of a salary over $10 million next season.

Else, it may be just as easy to re-sign Dario Saric for around $5 million and use those remaining funds elsewhere.
