Serge Ibaka

It feels like Serge Ibaka should be 40 years old, but he is surprisingly only 30. The veteran has exactly the type of championship experience James Jones loves and fits the mold of what the Phoenix Suns need to a tee.

He is averaging a career-high 16 points per game and is shooting 39.8 percent from behind the arc (also a career-high). On top of that, he is chipping in 8.3 rebounds per contest, just 0.5 off his best.

My point is that the man isn’t slowing down, despite the fact that his (and other power forwards around the league) growing perimeter play, his blocks have dramatically decreased from his league-leading numbers with Oklahoma City in the early 2010s.

It is tough to see if Ibaka will test the waters or stay up north in Toronto where he has served as a key member of a championship franchise, but Phoenix Suns fans should definitely watch how he plays. You never know.
