Danilo Gallinari

Danilo Gallinari has been whispered to join the Phoenix Suns in every conceivable facet seemingly every year, and it never comes through. Is the 2020 free agency period finally the time when he joins the Suns?

Gallinari averaged more points per game than every other unrestricted free agent this season at 19.2. His stretch-4 style of play would blend well with Monty Williams’ system and in my opinion, is the darling of this free agency class. He is 32 years old and made over $21 million this year with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He may be at the age where he takes a pay cut.

At Disney, I am very interested to see how well he plays, knowing he’ll soon be an unrestricted free agent. The Thunder have already locked in a playoff position and are currently ranked 5th in the West. It is very possible for them to climb as high as 3rd, which would help them avoid the likes of the Lakers or Clippers in the second round.

Will he help propel his team or maybe play a little selfishly to pad his stats for onlooking general managers? We shall see.
