3. Trey Burke
What is the modern version of a broken record? A corrupt MP3? No. A buffering stream? No. Well, whatever it is, Phoenix Suns fans clamoring for a veteran backup point guard has been repeated over and over again.
While many names have been floated as to who might be a good fit for this role, some of which have been more wishful thinking than anything, the name Trey Burke hasn’t been brought up much.
Well, he’s available.
Burke, former top 10 pick, came into the league showing major promise, averaging over 12 points per game his first two seasons with the Utah Jazz, but even though he is just 27 years old, his contributions have declined and he has found himself bouncing around a bit.
However, he is a solid pick-and-roll player and shot 42.1 percent from behind the arc for the Philadelphia 76ers before being waived. The Suns could do worse.
