Devin Booker

Of all players the Phoenix Suns need to be on their A-game, the most prominent is Devin Booker. Fortunately, I actually think he will excel in this empty-gym environment.

Booker is a video-game-playing introvert at heart and that kind of personality may very well prefer a hometown gym atmosphere over a packed stadium. At the very least, I don’t think it will affect his play.

We don’t typically see Booker play off the crowd. He’s not usually one to look towards the stands and encourage noise. While I’m sure he appreciates it when it’s there, he’s not one that seeks it out and needs it to compete at his highest level.

Booker’s competitive spirit gets him so locked in, I don’t think he’ll even realize he’s playing in an empty arena after the first couple of minutes on the court, and that’s a good thing for the Phoenix Suns.
