The Phoenix Suns may have slipped and fallen into a position to make a run for the playoffs. Will they take advantage of it?

Worries and anxiety can be scientifically pointed to delegating your actions to your future self. Most of us have matters to attend to but wait until the time when we believe is the right time to approach them. The issues build and our mind can’t control the matters leaking out of our ears. Let’s say the Phoenix Suns will be called back to the courts this Thursday (6/4/2020), restarting the season in late July, will they be ready?

I know a lot of us had the time off to really prepare ourselves to be better for when the world sees us again and that time has come for the Phoenix Suns.

Will the Phoenix Suns be ready to make a run for the playoffs?

Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges have a chance to show that they are mentally tough, more than what we remember.

Ricky Rubio and Devin Booker got to take a deep breath from a season strained with minutes and a born leadership role for both players.

Kelly Oubre will say he is 100% and will prove that the trade deadline rumors were a waste of time and that he belongs in this lineup.

These are things that we expect from the Suns if they have the chance to return this season, but the experience of the playoff berth will water the roots for the next season to blossom. You can only prepare yourself so much until the sweat is actually being wiped up by the ball boys (who never seem to have a soul) and the refs are calling another technical foul on Oubre’s head bob.

Trial by fire is the only way this team will grow. To actually gain access to the playoffs (even if you have to steal the keycard from the dozed-off security guard) is still entry. The whole season may not have any meaning to even the NBA Champions, but for the Suns, like Booker’s late call to the All-Star game, it means more for the next season for this franchise.

The building blocks at the beginning of this season going into the next were:
Devin Booker making the All-Star game: Check.
The Phoenix Suns participating in 2019-2020 NBA Playoffs: Check?

We might not have to say, let’s wait till next season.
