#2 Phoenix Suns random moment: Ricky Rubio fixing his man-bun
If any signature move by a member of the Phoenix Suns warrants a Mark Jackson “Momma there goes that man,” it has to be Ricky Rubio whenever he is getting ready to adjust his hair and put it back up into a man-bun.
It is hard to miss when Rubio decides it is time to adjust his flowing locks since he does it at almost every intermission. Even while Rubio is quick with his movements, it is rare for the whole sequence to get caught on camera.
Extended stretches of play with no whistle can be hard on a man-bun, so it requires frequent fixing.
This part of Rubio’s routine is like a superhero changing into their suit for a battle. You just know when he reaches back for his hair tie that it is about to get serious.
