Tom Chambers is one of the faces of the great Phoenix Suns teams of yesteryear and his current long-standing commentator position puts him even more on a pedestal. He deserves to be in the Ring of Honor, but his #24 was not considered sacred after he left.

Two Suns players wore the number and one of them was a fan-favorite, Tom Gugliotta. Affectionately referred to as Googs, Gugliotta played for five seasons with the Suns wearing #24. No one has worn it since, but between Googs and TC, there was Danny Schayes.

Schayes played one year for the Phoenix Suns in 1995 where the NBA journeyman scored 4.4 points and pulled down three rebounds per game. During this year, Chambers was still in the NBA playing with the Utah Jazz (where he wore #42), so I get it. Still, looking back on it now, how dare he.
