Aron Baynes

Grade: A

Stats: 11.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 35.1 percent 3P shooting

Out of all the players who matched or bettered their career-highs in scoring this season, no one surpassed their previous high more than Aron Baynes.

Why?

Call it a sweet combination of opportunity and his newfound velvety 3-point stroke. If it weren’t for his own series of injuries that kept him out of 23 games himself, you could make an argument for him to be considered for the league’s Most Improved Player award.

Not only did Baynes perform well on the basketball court, but his veteran presence also gave someone a young Deandre Ayton could look up to. You never know, Baynes’ 3-point shooting could provide a blueprint for opening that opportunity for DA in the future.

He also gets bonus points for his immaculate beard.

The bad part is that Baynes played so well, he may have earned himself a contract larger than what the Suns can (or are willing) to pay.
