Summary

To recap, here are everyone’s grades:

Oubre: A+
Booker: A
Baynes: A
Rubio: A-
Bridges: B+
Carter: B+
Johnson: B
Saric: C
Diallo: C-
Okobo: D
Ayton: Incomplete
Kaminsky: Incomplete
Jerome: Incomplete

Tyler Johnson and his $19.25 million would have received an F grade had he not essentially failed out midway through the season.

Looking back over this list, there are a lot of players with good grades. Maybe I’m an easy grader, but considering I largely curved the scale based on the individual players’ expectations, it tells me a lot of these guys are playing as well as they can.

And the Phoenix Suns are still losing.

That means either the team unity and scheming need to improve for this team to make the playoffs, or they need to get better players. Whether that is through the draft, a trade, or free-agency, there has to be the right combination of guys that will get this team to the playoffs in 2021. There has to be.

It’s up to James Jones and company to find them.
