Phoenix Suns: Best NBA draft picks by decade
By Ryan Bawek
2010s: Devin Booker, Pick #13, 2015 NBA Draft
For as many lottery picks as the Suns have had in the worst decade in their franchise history, as
you may have guessed, not many have lived up to their billing.
The one guy who has gone above and beyond and truly developed into the sort of draft steal that
can change the entire fortune of a franchise has been Devin Booker.
The #13 pick has been a special spot for the Phoenix Suns franchise (ignore Markieff Morris)
as they drafted the best player in team history at that pick in the 1996 NBA Draft in Steve Nash
and Devin Booker.
Booker has shown marked improvement every single season in his NBA career and made
himself into one of the more efficient superstars in the league this season, averaging 26.1 points,
6.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds on 48.7%-36%-91.6% shooting.
Not to mention, he made his first All-Star Game this season.
If Booker can spend a decade or more in a Suns uniform he could very well become the
franchise’s all-time leading scorer and its best player.
