#4: Phoenix Suns Black “Statement” Jersey
If I were to describe this jersey in one word it would be sharp. The more pastel orange and the touches of the classic purple provide a great juxtaposition to the black and the modern, sleek design.
This definitely has a new-age, Nike feel to it. A nice change compared to most of the Suns jerseys and re-branding taking place from 2013 through 2018.
The 3D aspect to the letters “PHX” is a nice visual as well. My only gripe is the lack of an outline that makes the pastel orange number look fuzzy.
I think incorporating the purple here would have been a nice touch.
This isn’t necessarily a classic Suns uniform in any way, but it is just a very cool jersey in a time period where the Suns were really struggling with their aesthetic, not to mention on-court product.
