#10: The Recycle Bin Halloween Scare

Perpetrator: The Gorilla
Victim: Suns players

Moving on to actual Phoenix Suns pranks, on Halloween of 2013, the Gorilla and a camera crew set up shop in a recycling bin in the players’ tunnel in the bowels of the arena. To see when players were coming, he cut out an eyehole in the letter “O” in the text of the bin.

Armed with a goofy-looking Halloween mask and an air horn, the Gorilla waited patiently for players to walk down the tunnel, only to jump out at the right moment and scare them.

While not super high on the creative scale, it kind of worked.

Miles Plumlee and Goran Dragic had the most scared reactions, curling into a ball and running away, albeit while laughing. Meanwhile, Gerald Green and Archie Goodwin’s instincts were to fight, with Goodwin putting up his dukes and Green actually taking a few jabs.

If you ever needed proof of fight-or-flight mode, this was it.
