Monty Williams is the coach for the future

Monty Williams has solidified himself as the Phoenix Suns’ head coach for the foreseeable future. The Suns have churned through coaches like no other the past five years and have finally found a strong one who has taken control over the locker room and gained respect from the players.

His team enjoys playing for him and his style of basketball, and he brings a positive culture to this organization that will result in winning games. Williams has shown the ability to balance his cut-throat nature and his happy-go-lucky attitude into a coach that knows when to really push his team, and when to ease off and let his team figure it out.

Williams has been in and around this league long enough to know what works and what does not, and he will be at the head of a Phoenix Suns team that will win and compete for a championship.

As Devin Booker says:

"“His voice travels. I’ve been in situations before where things coaches say are kind of discussed amongst players. But with Monty, it’s not like that. We all believe in him. He believes in us at the same time. It’s really contagious.”"

That is big praise from the team’s best player.
