Pick #8: Nico Mannion

Here is where a string of point guards and combo guards will start. The hard part is determining which one the Phoenix Suns should select. There are several great options here at #8, especially in the guard column, but the Phoenix Suns should entertain drafting Nico Mannion.

I have previously written an article about him, and think it would make perfect sense to keep Nico in Arizona.

Nico has had an interesting season at the University of Arizona. In a system where it seems like Nico does not have the reigns of the offense, he is still the Wildcats’ best player. He is very skilled and he has that can translate to the next level: great vision, an explosive first step, and has the ability to run a team.

If the Suns are on the clock and the previous seven players are not available, the Suns should jump at the opportunity to have this kid on their team for years to come.
