Pick #5: Deni Avdija

Here is where it gets interesting because this draft really only has four phenomenal prospects. After that, there are players that could fit very well with the Phoenix Suns like Nico Mannion, Jaden McDaniels, RJ Hampton, Cole Anthony, and a few others. However, it feels like taking any of those players at number #5 would like a reach.

As much as this hurts me to write, and I am prepared for the hate coming my way. This kid Deni Avdija from Israel is really fun to watch. He plays on one of the most respected clubs in the middle east in Maccabi Tel Aviv, and he has a lot of skill.

He is 6’9″, but does not appear that he would be ready to play the power forward position in the NBA. He does, however, have a good handle and good vision and moves really well off the ball.

He looks to have a stroke from 3 and has very surprising athletic ability and a swagger about him similar to Luka Doncic. I am not comparing him to Luka, more like a bigger version of Tyler Herro, who I know Suns fans love.
