Pick #13: Tyrese Maxey

In honor of Devin Booker, the Phoenix Suns should select a guard from Kentucky in the spot, right? Might as well go in on Tyrese Maxey. His best trait is he seems to play better the biggest the moment.

His best games this year have come against number 3 ranked Louisville with 27 points, and against number 1 Michigan State with 26 including a dagger deep 3 late in the game. He is afraid of the moment.

At 6’3 he seems to be a combo guard at the next level, and at times lacks the basketball IQ to be a point guard. Pairing him next to Booker could be a good fit if Maxey is able to improve his handle and decision making. He does have the one tangible that many people look for, and that is his big-game mentality. The Suns got one star at 13, they might as well try and get another.
