Pick #11: RJ Hampton

With pick #11, the Suns should take a flyer on RJ Hampton from the New Zealand Breakers. He decided to forego college and go play in Australia out of high school and start making money right away.

Something should be said about playing professional basketball at age 18; he is playing full-grown men,night-in, and night-out.

Hampton is a great pick-and-roll player, does a great job getting to the paint with his right or left hand, and finishing strong at the rim. He does not love to shoot the 3, but he seems somewhat comfortable shooting it off the catch.

He could play the point or off the ball in the Suns’ system and flourish either driving and finding Booker coming off a screen and lobbing it to Ayton. He is a player where when people look back at this draft they will wonder why he fell this far.
