James Jones: “Um, yes, we’re inquiring about Luka Doncic‘s availability. We’re willing to trade former first overall pick Deandre Ayton…Hello? Hello?”

At first I was thinking of basically using Kelly Oubre as a chance to get another first round pick, so I focused on Courtney Lee and Dallas’ 2020 first for Oubre and cap space (Lee’s contract is up after this season).

Unfortunately, Dallas can’t trade another first round pick until 2025 at the earliest, so, never mind.

I was also thinking of Aron Baynes for a couple of second rounders, but they can’t take anyone on without giving up equal salary and they don’t have anyone on an expiring contract meaning that Phoenix would have to take on a contract they don’t need or want.

So, swapping of seconds: Phoenix’s 2020 second for Dallas’ and either Houston or Golden State’s, whosoever is better.
