One potential trade the Phoenix Suns could make with every team in the NBA

Cleveland Cavaliers

You know how much I love  Kevin Love.

But while I was very  high on the Phoenix Suns acquiring him early in the year when it looked like they were much more of a sure thing for the playoffs, I have soured on he (and his gigantic contract) a bit.

That said, for the sake of argument, he is still a near 20/12 guy, and easily the best stretch-four available.

So, Tyler Johnson and Aron Baynes for Kevin Love, their 2021 first round pick (their 2020 pick is allocated 11-30 to the Pelicans, and the presumption is that they would not want to trade the right’s to the 1-10 because they are angling to fall in that range) and Milwaukee’s 2022 first round pick.

The Suns would be taking on a TON of salary here (over $100 million beginning at the trade deadline), but they are getting a star, albeit on the downside of his career, while Cleveland is getting massive and instant cap relief.

The picks help swallow that horse pill – and so too would the winning.
