Marvin Williams isn’t the kind of impact power forward one would hope James Jones could acquire, but, again, he is better than what the Phoenix Suns have and will help the team down the stretch run by moving Saric to the bench.

This too isn’t a very sexy trade being that the only other moving piece is Tyler Johnson, however, like Brooklyn, there just isn’t a whole lot to work with there.

By acquiring Williams, Phoenix creates a little bit of depth at power forward while also maintaining the cap space that would have been created in Johnson’s contract expiring – even saving Robert Sarver a couple of million of dollars with the contract discrepancies.
