Pretty much a salary dump, the Phoenix Suns are hurt right away with the loss of Kelly Oubre.
However, Jae Crowder is a better 3-point shooter which would help stretch the floor right now, while also not being quite as ball-dominant as Oubre.
Grayson Allen also gives the Suns additional shooting from the backcourt through next season.
In the end though, what James Jones is buying is cap space that will total around $40 million again.
What he would do with such cap space is beyond me at the moment, but I am sure it could be used positively somehow.
