What’s Next?

It would have been really nice to get the win in Atlanta, but this win against the Boston Celtics, who, while short-handed Saturday night, have the fourth best record in the East, almost makes up for it.

I never get an opportunity to do this, so I’m most certainly going to do it how that I have a chance. Back before the start of their five game home stand, I wrote that it is time for the Phoenix Suns to go on a winning streak. More specifically, I predicted their record after the Boston game could be 18-24. Well, call me a blind squirrel and the Suns’ current record a nut.

"Let’s say they leave that game with an 18-24 record, their next four games are against the San Antonio Spurs (twice), the Memphis Grizzlies (again), and the Indiana Pacers. That’s not exactly a murderer’s row. The point is the entire month of January is chock full of winnable games and now that the Suns have (mostly) all their players back, they are in a position to inch very close to the 0.500 mark by month’s end."

So, like I said, the push should be to get close to the 0.500 mark by the end of January. With the Memphis Grizzlies hot right now and in the 8th playoff spot, but the Suns are 9th, and only two games back.
